Sidewalk Chalk Activity
As our team began to go through the lists of symbol ideas, we decided that none of them really suited our group. For a while, we were stuck and didn't know exactly what to do. Until out of no where, one of my group members announced the idea of a cheesecake, with absolutely no meaning behind it. Why, you may ask? I still have no idea. But as we started working on the idea, we each incorporated our own "symbols" that meant something to us. It was decided that there would be a normal cheesecake, which would be the focal point of the flag, surrounded by a music note, and for a strange reason, a fidget spinner cutting the slice.

While we thought of ideas, our team luckily got along. During the first day, we sketched the flag and talked about possible color ideas along the way. The process ran smoothly, with no major disagreements and we used our time to erase things that we didn't think we wanted. Overall, the entire first day couldn't have gone better than it did.
Once we arrived back into the Ravens Nest the next day, my team still had the same energy from the day before. After some minor changes the enhance the cheesecake's "look", we headed outside to the courtyard. We choose a concrete square near the South side, because we knew students would see it right as they walked out of the doors in front of it. As soon as I grabbed the chalk, we began working. The shape of the cheesecake was sketched, and then I colored it in yellow before blending it. Surrounding the shape of the cheesecake, the other symbols, the fidget spinner and the music note were drawn by my other two group members. Finally, we colored the entire background pink, which was the most time consuming portion.

As I mentioned earlier, I would not change a think about how smoothly the task went. We collaborated well, and were each able to express our own opinions on how the overall product would look. If I had to change one thing, I would include more symbolism behind the colors in the flag. Overall, the project was easily completed based off of how well my group was able to stay on task, while still having fun doing it.
